Your texts are not stored

Texts sent for checking are processed only while errors are being found; they are not stored on the server and are not shared with third parties.

Translation

When you use translation, the text to be translated is sent to an external translation service — Microsoft Azure Translator (Microsoft Corporation) or Anthropic, PBC (USA) servers — and the translation is returned. Xato.uz does not store this text. The providers process data under their own privacy terms. Please keep this in mind before translating confidential documents.

Deep check

When you use “Deep check”, the text being checked is sent to an artificial intelligence service — the servers of Anthropic, PBC (USA) — and the errors found are returned. Xato.uz does not store this text; it only counts the words for the daily limit. The service provider processes the data under its own privacy terms. Keep this in mind before checking confidential documents. Regular spell checking and checking as you type are performed only on the Xato.uz server.

Shared dictionary

When you click “Add to dictionary”, that word (only the word itself, not your text) is sent to the server to improve the shared dictionary. Who sent it is not stored: only an irreversible hash is kept to count votes. A word enters the shared dictionary only after several different users add it, so one person’s first or last name will not end up there.

What data is stored

For your account: your email address, your name (if you entered one) and an irreversible hash of your password (the password itself is not stored). For limits: the number of words checked per day. For visitors without an account, the IP address is stored in hashed form. So that the trial is granted once per computer, the Word add-in sends a technical computer identifier; it is also stored only as an irreversible hash and is not used to identify you. For payments: order number, amount and the payment system’s transaction number. Card details never reach Xato.uz — they are processed only by Payme or Click.

Where and how long data is stored

Data is stored on a server located in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Daily usage statistics are deleted after 90 days. To delete your account, write to yordam@xato.uz.
